Terms & Conditions

By booking a taxi or any travel service with Violin Tours and Travels ("we", "us", "our"), you ("the passenger", "the customer") agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions in full. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not proceed with a booking.

These terms apply to all bookings made via our website (maduraitaxibooking.com), by phone, via WhatsApp, or through any other channel.

A booking is confirmed only after you receive an explicit confirmation from Violin Tours and Travels via phone call, WhatsApp message, or SMS. Submitting a booking request does not guarantee availability.

You must provide accurate pick-up location, drop location, date, time, and passenger count at the time of booking. Any errors in the information provided may result in delays or cancellation of the trip.

We reserve the right to decline any booking at our discretion without providing a reason.

All fares quoted are one-way unless explicitly stated as round-trip. Fares are calculated from Madurai garage to Madurai garage (total kilometres including pick-up and drop).

Toll charges, parking fees, inter-state permits, and hill-area surcharges are not included in the base fare and will be charged extra as applicable.

Driver allowance is included in the quoted fare for most routes. For overnight trips or multi-day journeys, an additional driver allowance of ₹500–₹800 per night may apply.

Fares are subject to change due to fuel price revisions. The fare confirmed at the time of booking will be honoured unless there is a significant change in fuel prices or route conditions.

Payment can be made in cash to the driver at the end of the trip, or via UPI/bank transfer as agreed at the time of booking.

Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled pick-up time: No cancellation charge.

Cancellations made between 6 and 24 hours before pick-up: 25% of the total fare will be charged as a cancellation fee.

Cancellations made less than 6 hours before pick-up, or no-shows: 50% of the total fare will be charged.

If the trip is cancelled by Violin Tours and Travels due to vehicle breakdown, driver unavailability, or force majeure, a full refund will be issued or an alternative vehicle will be arranged at no extra cost.

Refunds, where applicable, will be processed within 5–7 business days via the original payment method.

Passengers must be ready at the agreed pick-up location at the scheduled time. A waiting charge of ₹100 per 30 minutes may apply after a 15-minute grace period.

Passengers are responsible for ensuring that all personal belongings are collected at the end of the trip. Violin Tours and Travels is not liable for items left in the vehicle.

Smoking, consumption of alcohol, and carrying of illegal substances are strictly prohibited in all our vehicles.

Passengers must wear seat belts at all times as required by law. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

The number of passengers must not exceed the seating capacity of the booked vehicle. The driver has the right to refuse travel if this condition is violated.

We reserve the right to substitute the booked vehicle type with an equivalent or superior vehicle in the event of a breakdown or unavailability, at no additional cost to the passenger.

All our drivers are licensed, trained, and background-verified. However, Violin Tours and Travels is not liable for any delays caused by traffic, road conditions, weather, or other factors beyond our control.

Air conditioning will be switched off on steep hill routes (Kodaikanal, Ooty, Munnar, etc.) for vehicle safety. This is standard practice and not a service deficiency.

The driver is authorised to take rest stops during long journeys as required by law and for safety. Passengers are requested to cooperate.

Violin Tours and Travels shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from the use of our services, including but not limited to missed flights, missed events, or loss of business.

Our maximum liability in any claim shall not exceed the total fare paid for the specific trip in question.

We are not responsible for delays or cancellations caused by acts of God, natural disasters, government restrictions, strikes, or other force majeure events.

Personal information collected during booking (name, phone number, travel details) is used solely for the purpose of fulfilling your booking and communicating with you.

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties except as required by law or as necessary to complete your booking (e.g., driver contact details).

By providing your phone number, you consent to receiving booking confirmations and service-related messages via SMS and WhatsApp.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from the use of our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Madurai, Tamil Nadu.

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

Violin Tours and Travels reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. The latest version will always be available on our website.

Continued use of our services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
