1. Driver Verification & Licensing

All drivers employed by Violin Tours and Travels hold valid commercial driving licences (badge) issued by the Regional Transport Office (RTO). Licences are verified before onboarding and renewed as required.

Every driver undergoes a background verification process before being assigned to passenger trips. We do not engage drivers with a history of traffic violations, substance abuse, or criminal records.

Drivers are trained in defensive driving, passenger handling, and emergency response procedures.

2. Vehicle Maintenance & Inspection

All vehicles in our fleet undergo regular preventive maintenance as per the manufacturer's service schedule. Vehicles are inspected before every long-distance trip.

Tyres, brakes, lights, and air-conditioning are checked regularly. Any vehicle that does not pass inspection is taken off the road until repaired.

All vehicles carry a first-aid kit, fire extinguisher, and emergency contact information.

3. Vehicle Insurance

All vehicles carry valid commercial vehicle insurance as required by the Motor Vehicles Act. Passenger liability cover is included in the insurance policy.

In the event of an accident, passengers are covered under the vehicle's insurance policy. We strongly recommend that passengers carry their own personal travel insurance for additional coverage.

4. Driver Hours & Fatigue Management

We do not allow drivers to drive more than 8–10 hours continuously. For very long routes (e.g. Madurai to Bangalore), a driver break or handover is arranged.

Drivers are required to take a minimum 30-minute break every 4 hours on long-distance trips. Passengers are encouraged to support this practice for everyone's safety.

5. Passenger Safety Measures

All vehicles are equipped with functional seat belts for all seats. Passengers are required to wear seat belts at all times during the journey.

Upon booking confirmation, you will receive the driver's name, mobile number, and vehicle registration number. We encourage passengers to share this information with a trusted contact before departure.

If you feel unsafe during a trip for any reason, you may ask the driver to stop at a safe location and contact us immediately at +91 80151 57700.

6. Night Travel Safety

Night travel is available and safe with our experienced drivers. All vehicles have functioning headlights, fog lights (where applicable), and reflective markings.

For night trips, we recommend informing a family member or friend of your travel plans, driver details, and expected arrival time.

7. COVID-19 & Hygiene

Vehicles are sanitised regularly. Drivers are encouraged to maintain personal hygiene and to inform us immediately if they are unwell, so that an alternative driver can be arranged.

8. Reporting a Safety Concern

If you have a safety concern about a trip, driver, or vehicle, please contact us immediately at +91 80151 57700 or email violintravelsmadurai@gmail.com. All safety reports are taken seriously and investigated promptly.
